Bella’s story began when we rescued her from a shelter as a tiny pup. She was scared and timid, but she blossomed in our home. My kids adored her, and she quickly became a sibling to them. Bella had a boundless energy that kept everyone on their toes. She loved chasing after soccer balls in the yard and would always sit by the table, hoping someone would “accidentally” drop food. In 2022, Bella started showing signs of illness, and by early 2023, we learned she had a rare form of cancer. We spent her last weeks showering her with love, letting her eat all the forbidden snacks, and taking her on car rides—her favorite activity. On her last day, the whole family sat with her, stroking her fur and thanking her for being the best dog we could have ever asked for.
